Essential:

Efficient handheld photography for suitably lit spaces. This is the quickest option and is useful when budget, speed and a broader selection of photographs are the priorities.

Classic:

Tripod photography with more time allowed for careful composition and a consistent finish. It uses the same rate schedule as Essential, but the longer minimum duration reflects the slower tripod workflow.

Signature:

Tripod photography with bracketed exposures and HDR processing where useful. It takes more photography and editing time, provides greater control over bright windows and deep shadows, and produces fewer final photographs per hour.

Ideal for property listings, keepsake memories, portfolios for interior designers, and projects by architecture firms.

General Makeup & Hairstyling

Professional makeover services are available as optional additions for clients who would like a polished, camera-ready look. You may book makeup, hairstyling or both, tailored to the shoot concept and lighting setup.

Different hair and makeup artists may have different rates. Please contact me with your requirements for a more accurate quotation.

Note: I don't collect any commission from the hair and makeup artists, so they can provide their best services at the best rates to clients referred by me.

Booking Essentials & Optional Services

Everything that applies to your booking is organised by subject, with all related optional services grouped alongside it. Optional services are never added without prior discussion.

Booking documents: Please review the service agreement and privacy policy. If anything is unclear, I’ll be happy to guide you.

Advance booking & short notice

Please book at least 72 hours in advance so there is enough time for consultation, preparation and scheduling. Requests confirmed within 72 hours are subject to availability and may incur a short-notice surcharge.

Venue

Sessions may take place at a client-provided location, a public space, or my private studio. Any venue entry fee or permit must be covered by the client for both the client and photographer.

Wardrobe & props

Wardrobe and props are supplied by the client. I can provide creative guidance, and recommend discussing choices in advance so they complement the concept, location and lighting.

Themes & outfits

Unless a package states otherwise, the default allowance is up to two outfits per hour. Changes use booked session time, so ambitious plans may require a longer booking.

Shoot style

I use no-touch guidance, directing poses through conversation and demonstration to maintain comfort, respect and natural expression.

Shoot pace

Sessions are paced intentionally and at an unhurried pace. Multiple locations, concepts or outfit changes require sufficient time to avoid rushing.

Booked duration

The booked duration includes arrival, discussion, preparation, equipment setup and photography. Wardrobe changes, makeup, hairstyling and travel during the session also use booked time. Learn why professional photography takes time.

Additional time extends the shooting duration but does not increase the number of edited photographs included in your package. If you would like more photographs, you may purchase them separately at the applicable rates. If a higher-tier package offers better value for your requirements, I will recommend it before confirming your booking.

Dating-profile vetting & guidance

Optional profile guidance is available for clients who would like help reviewing how their photographs and written profile work together on a dating app.

Lighting approach

Natural light is the default unless the package states otherwise. Studio sessions normally use off-camera flash. Natural-light sessions may use a mounted speedlite when needed; flash-based sessions use off-camera flash whenever practical, with natural light or on-camera flash used when the environment requires it. Compare flash and natural light.

Editing

Basic editing (exposure, colour correction and cropping where necessary) is the default. Advanced editing such as skin refinement is available on request. Extreme edits may be declined when they compromise authenticity or require disproportionate work. Learn about post-production.

Turnaround time

The delivery timeline begins after final payment. Low-resolution selection previews are delivered within 7 days; final high-resolution JPGs are delivered within 14 days after selections are confirmed. Larger sessions, peak periods and advanced edits may take longer. Please plan around the official timeline even when earlier delivery may be possible. Read about delivery times.

Photo selection

A low-resolution PDF is provided so you can select your favourites before final editing. A selection service is available if you prefer someone else to curate the final images.

Delivery method

Final images are supplied through a secure web link for immediate download. Email delivery may be arranged for an additional fee, subject to file-size limits and availability.

Deliverables

Final photographs are supplied as high-resolution JPG files. RAW and unedited files are not included. Please discuss any additional requirements before booking. Why photographers deliver finished images.

Photo resolution

Standard files measure 2048 pixels on the longest side and include 300-DPI metadata. Higher-resolution files can be requested during the planning stage.

Payment & documents

PayNow is the preferred local payment method. Please arrange PayPal payment or any invoice or official-document requirements before the session so the applicable charges can be confirmed in advance.

Copyright & usage

I retain copyright to all photographs. Clients receive personal usage rights for sharing and printing. Commercial or extended use requires an appropriate licence. Editing, filtering, cropping or otherwise altering the delivered photographs requires prior written consent.

Privacy

Selected photographs may be used in my portfolio or marketing by default. Full confidentiality is available through a Privacy Buyout, which must be arranged in advance.

How much time should I book for a shoot?
Every shoot is different and difficult to estimate precisely. The ideal duration depends on your experience, comfort level, and the nature of the shoot.

Generally, the more time we have together, the better the results - especially if you're new to being photographed. A longer session allows us to ease into the process, build rapport, and create space for genuine expression to emerge.

That said, balance matters. If a session feels excessively long, I may decline - not only to safeguard my health, but also to ensure the quality of the work doesn't suffer when exhaustion sets in. This way, our time together remains intentional and focused - it's never just about money.

Many clients underestimate how much time is needed for a comfortable shoot that produces the best possible results. What factors should I consider when deciding the duration of a shoot?
Beyond your comfort level, practical elements also play a role. Outdoor or multi-location shoots require extra time to account for travel, outfit changes, and natural transitions between settings. These pauses aren't just logistical - they're part of the emotional rhythm that helps us capture more resonant, authentic images.
Can I combine different types of photography in one session?
Absolutely. Some sessions naturally blend different moments, such as a couple shoot that includes a surprise proposal. In such cases, I'll guide you towards the package that best reflects the planning, emotional weight, and technical demands involved. For example, surprise proposals require discreet coordination and heightened readiness, so they're charged under the Surprise Proposal package rather than a standard portrait session.

Pricing & Policy

Are there any hidden charges?
No. Any applicable charges, such as travel surcharges, Privacy Buyout fees, studio rental fees, makeup artist fees, or additional editing requests, are listed on this page. Please go through them and discuss with me before booking.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date and time. The remaining balance is typically due before or on the day of the shoot.
What payment methods do you accept?
PayNow is most preferred. Other payment methods may be available upon request.
I only need a few photos. Is there a cheaper package?
The minimum package still applies. Even if you only need three final photographs, the preparation, reserved session time, photography, image selection, post-production and delivery work involved remain largely the same. The number of delivered photographs is only one part of the overall service, so I'm afraid I can't offer a cheaper package based solely on receiving fewer final images.
Why do different photography services have different rates?
Different types of photography require different levels of planning, preparation, equipment, experience, and responsibility. For example, a surprise proposal typically requires more coordination and risk management than a casual portrait session. Pricing reflects the overall complexity and demands of each service.
Why don't you provide RAW files?
RAW files are unfinished working files and don't represent my completed work. They require professional editing to bring out the intended colours, tones, contrast and mood. Delivering finished photographs allows me to maintain the consistency and quality of my work. Read why photographers generally don't provide RAW or unedited photographs for the full explanation.
Why is editing charged separately?
Basic editing is included in the applicable package. More advanced editing can require significantly more time and specialised work, so it is offered as an add-on. This means clients only pay for advanced editing when they actually need it.
What happens if the shoot exceeds the booked duration?
Additional time may be charged according to the applicable extension rate. Whenever possible, I'll highlight the possibility of an extension before the shoot so you can plan your time and budget accordingly.
Can I upgrade my package after booking?
In many cases, yes. If you decide that you would like additional time, photographs, editing, or other services, I'll advise you on the available upgrade options.

Travel & Location Charges

Why is there a travel surcharge for certain locations?
Some locations are considerably more difficult or time-consuming to reach, such as Tuas, Sentosa, Loyang, Pasir Ris, or Changi Beach. These journeys may involve multiple transfers or extended travel times, adding to the overall time and effort required for the session.

To keep my pricing fair and sustainable, a travel surcharge applies to locations that are not easily accessible, such as places that are a significant distance from MRT stations. This allows me to dedicate the same level of energy and focus to your shoot, regardless of where it takes place.

Discounts & Promotions

Do you offer discounts for repeat clients?
Yes. I enjoy collaborating with clients who are genuinely interested in building an ongoing working relationship. If you're able to commit to 10 sessions within a 12-month period, I'm happy to offer preferential rates.

A deposit covering all 10 sessions is required upfront to confirm the commitment, with the remaining balance collected session by session. This structure keeps the arrangement fair for both parties and prevents the long-term discount from being used without a genuine commitment to completing the series.
Is there a student discount?
No. My pricing reflects the time, effort, equipment, experience, and expertise required to provide the service. I need to charge sustainably so that I can continue delivering the same standard of work to every client.
