📌 General Information (Read First)

These details apply to every package and are essential to understand before booking. They cover the flow, expectations, and boundaries of all photography sessions unless otherwise specified within a particular package-so everything feels clear and aligned from the start.

Here's a transparent look at what contributes to your quote.

• 📍 Venue:

  Sessions may take place at a location provided by the client, a public space, or my private studio.
  
  If the chosen venue requires an entry fee or permit, this cost must be covered by the client for both themselves and the photographer.

• 👗🎭 Wardrobe & Props:

  Both wardrobe and props are provided by the client, with my creative guidance available to refine choices.
  
  I strongly recommend discussing them together in advance to ensure it complements the shoot style, location, and lighting.

• 📚 Number of themes/outfits:

  if no number of themes or outfits is stated in the package, the default allowance is up to 2 outfits per hour.

  Please keep in mind that outfit changes take extra time. If the booking duration is too short, this can be unrealistic and may lead to an extension of the booked duration.

• 📸 Shoot Style:

  I use no-touch guidance, directing poses through conversation and demonstration. This may take a little longer, but it ensures comfort and respect, while creating natural, authentic photos.

• 🕊️ Shoot Pace:

  Sessions are paced intentionally for comfort. If multiple locations or outfit changes are planned, please book additional time to ensure everything can be covered without rushing.

• ⏰ Duration Booked:

  Your booked duration includes my arrival, preparation, discussion, setup, and the shoot itself.
  
  Time matters even between shots-equipment setup, wardrobe changes, makeup, hairstyling, and travel during the shoot.

• ⚡ Lighting Approach:

  For natural light sessions, ambient light is prioritised. When needed, I may use a mounted speedlite (never off-camera flash).
  
  For flash-based sessions, off-camera flash is used whenever possible; otherwise, I adapt with natural light or on-camera flash depending on the environment.
  
  Flash setups require more gear and effort. Should additional professional lighting be required, prices will be adjusted.

  Basic Editing (exposure, colour correction, cropping if necessary) is included.
  
  Optional Advanced Retouching, such as skin refinement, is available upon request. Advanced editing requires more time and effort, which affects cost.
  
  Extreme Editing requests may be rejected, as they are highly tedious and often compromise authenticity.

• ⏳ Turnaround Time:

  The delivery timeline begins once final payment has been received. Low-resolution previews are typically shared within a week for photo selection, and final high-resolution JPGs are usually ready within two weeks after selection.
  
  Larger sessions or advanced editing may take longer. I set realistic timelines and often deliver earlier than expected-so you receive quality without surprises.

  Selections are provided in a low-resolution PDF, allowing you to choose your favourites before final editing and delivery.
  
  Additional prices may apply if you need the photographer to choose the photos for you.

• 💾 Deliverables:

  Final images are provided in high-resolution JPG format.
  
  🚫 RAW or unedited files are not included, to maintain professional standards.

  Standard high resolution is 2048 pixels on the longest side at 300 DPI.

• ⚖️ Copyright:

  I (the photographer) retain full copyright to all images. Clients are granted personal usage rights for sharing and printing. For commercial or extended usage, licensing options are available upon request.
  
  Editing, altering, filtering, cropping, or modifying the photos in any way requires prior written consent.

• 🔒 Privacy:

  By default, selected images may be used in my portfolio or marketing to showcase my work.

Professional makeover services available as add-ons to your shoot-perfect for achieving a polished, camera-ready look. Includes makeup, hairstyling, or both, tailored to your shoot's concept and lighting setup. For gentlemen and ladies.

There will be an surcharge of $50 for any session that starts before 6am.

Different hair and makeup artists may have different rates; therefore, do contact me with your requirements for more accurate quotation.

Note: I don't collect any commission from the hair and makeup artists so that they can provide their best services at the best rates to clients referred by me.

How much time should I book for a shoot?

Every shoot is different and difficult to estimate precisely. The ideal duration depends on your experience, comfort level, and the nature of the shoot.

Generally, the more time we have together, the better the results-especially if you're new to being photographed. A longer session allows us to ease into the process, build rapport, and create space for genuine expression to emerge.

That said, balance matters. If a session feels excessively long, I may decline-not only to safeguard my health, but also to ensure the quality of the work doesn't suffer when exhaustion sets in. This way, our time together remains intentional and focused-it's never just about money.

Many clients underestimate how much time is needed for a comfortable shoot that produces the best possible results. Share your ideas with me, and we'll discuss and tailor a session that feels spacious, intentional, and aligned with your goals. If there's any chance we may need to extend the shoot, I'll highlight it in advance so you can plan for both time and budget with a clear buffer.

What factors should I consider when deciding the duration of a shoot?

Beyond your comfort level, practical elements also play a role. Outdoor or multi-location shoots require extra time to account for travel, outfit changes, and natural transitions between settings. These pauses aren't just logistical-they're part of the emotional rhythm that helps us capture more resonant, authentic images.

The package consists a few photos but I only need less than that number. Can you charge me a lower rate?

No. Each session requires considerable time and effort, regardless of whether you need just one photo or many. As a gesture of goodwill, I include additional photos in the various sessions to provide clients with more options. I kindly ask that this gesture is appreciated and not taken advantage of.

Can I combine different types of photography in one session (e.g., couple + surprise proposal)?

Absolutely-some sessions naturally blend different moments, like a couple shoot that includes a surprise proposal. In such cases, I'll guide you toward the package that best reflects the planning, emotional weight, and technical demands involved. For example, surprise proposals require discreet coordination and heightened readiness, so they're charged under the Surprise Proposal package rather than a standard portrait session.

If your session involves multiple intentions or unique requirements, it's best to contact me directly. I'll help you choose the most suitable package and ensure everything flows smoothly.

Why is there a travel surcharge for certain locations?

Some venues are more difficult to reach-such as Tuas, Sentosa, Loyang, Pasir Ris, or Changi Beach-where transport options are limited and travel time is significantly longer. These journeys often require multiple transfers or extended commutes, which add to the overall effort and time commitment of the session.

To keep things fair and sustainable, a travel surcharge applies for locations that are not easily accessible (e.g., not near MRT stations). This ensures I can dedicate the same energy and focus to your shoot, no matter where it takes place

Why don't you provide RAW files?

RAW files are unfinished and don't represent my work. They require professional editing to bring out the intended colours, tones, and mood. Delivering only edited images ensures consistency and quality.

Why is editing charged separately?

Advanced editing takes significant time and skill. By keeping basic edits in the default package and offering advanced editing as an add-on, clients only pay for what they truly need.

Why are there different rates for different events?

Some events are more tedious, require more experience or higher in demand. Some events are under my 'discount' list for they draw more interest from me.

Do you offer discounts for repeat clients?

Yes - I love collaborating with clients who are invested in building something ongoing. If you're able to commit to 10 sessions over a 12-month period, I'm happy to offer preferential rates. A deposit covering all 10 sessions will be required upfront to confirm your commitment, with the remaining balance collected session by session. This structure ensures fairness for both parties and helps prevent misuse of the long-term discount from those who don't genuinely intend to complete the series.

Is there a student discount?

No. If my effort, time, equipment and talent aren't being properly paid, I won't be able to continue to provide the services.
