Booking Process

Enquiry

Before booking, the first step is to make sure my photography, rates and working approach are suitable for what you need.

At this stage, the discussion is primarily a package consultation. You can tell me about your requirements and ask questions about the available packages, while I clarify anything necessary to determine which option is suitable. Detailed creative planning and bespoke advice begin after the booking is confirmed.

Before contacting me, please take some time to review the following:

  Review the available packages, what they include and the approximate investment before making an enquiry.

•   Service Agreement:

  Understand the terms of the photography service, including important responsibilities, limitations and arrangements before booking.

•   Privacy Policy:

  Understand how your information and photographs may be handled, particularly if privacy is important to you or you are considering a Privacy Buyout.

•   FAQ:

  Find answers to common questions about my photography, workflow, preparation, editing and delivery.

When you're ready, visit the contact page and complete the enquiry form as clearly as possible. The information you provide helps me understand what you need without requiring a long series of basic questions afterwards.

You can also mention any special requirements, concerns or add-ons you may need. If enough information is available, I can then recommend a suitable package or explain what needs to be clarified before I can provide an accurate quotation.

Booking

Once the requirements and package are agreed upon, a booking fee is required to confirm my services and reserve the agreed date and time.

An enquiry about availability, discussion of a possible date or provisional arrangement does not by itself constitute a confirmed booking. The session is confirmed only after the required booking fee has been received.

Once the booking is confirmed, I can commit the necessary time to the assignment and we can move into more detailed planning.

Plan & Shoot

After booking, we can work through the details needed for the photoshoot. Depending on the type of photography, this may include the concept, wardrobe, location, timing, lighting approach, intended use of the photographs and other practical considerations.

This is also when I can provide more personalised advice based on your actual session rather than giving generic suggestions before a booking is confirmed.

During the photoshoot, I will guide you according to the situation and the type of photographs we are creating. Some sessions require more deliberate posing and lighting, while others work better with movement, interaction or candid moments.

I use verbal guidance and generally avoid physical contact when directing poses. If something needs adjusting, I will normally explain it so that you can make the adjustment yourself.

Payment

The remaining balance - the total amount payable minus the booking fee already received - is due at the end of the photoshoot on the same day, unless another arrangement has been agreed upon beforehand.

The post-production timeline begins only after full payment has been received. This includes preparing the preview images for sessions where you will be selecting the photographs for final editing.

Photo Selection

For packages that require client selection, I will first review the photographs from the session and prepare a low-resolution preview for you to choose from.

The previews are unedited and provided specifically for selection. They are not final photographs and should not be used, distributed or shared.

I normally remove photographs that are clearly unsuitable, such as accidental shots, significant technical failures or unnecessary duplicates. However, when I feel that behind-the-scenes or less formal moments may be meaningful to you, I may keep more of them in the selection rather than eliminating them too aggressively.

The number of final photographs included depends on your selected package. If you would like more photographs than the package includes, additional selections can be purchased according to the applicable rates.

Please complete your selection within three months of receiving the preview. Final editing begins after I receive your selected image numbers.

Editing & Delivery

Once your selection is received, the chosen photographs will go through the editing included in your package.

Most packages include basic edits, such as colour and exposure adjustments together with cropping where appropriate. Detailed skin retouching and other advanced editing are separate services unless specifically included in the package.

Final photographs are delivered as JPG files through a download link. My standard delivery files are prepared at 2048px on the longest side. If you require something different for a particular purpose, please discuss this with me in advance.

Please download and safely back up your photographs after receiving them. Files are removed from my server after acknowledgement of download or, if no acknowledgement is received, after three working days.

Requests for files to be uploaded again may incur a charge and are subject to availability, as I cannot guarantee that the files will remain retrievable after they have been removed from the delivery server.
