Reading Photoshoot with Ong Yongchuan

Since reading is one of Yongchuan's biggest passions, this shoot was all about highlighting his quiet and introspective side. We selected a tranquil spot in the park, surrounded by nature, to set a peaceful and immersive scene—just like the experience of diving into a great book.

From the beginning, he was engrossed. With a book in hand, he naturally slipped into a focused state, making it easy to capture candid moments. Occasionally, passers-by would wander into the frame, requiring us to adjust our angles and wait for the perfect shots. But Yongchuan's patience made the process smooth.

What stood out to me was how at ease he was in the setting. Some people might be reluctant to sit on the grass or tweak their posture for a photo, but he trusted the process and it showed in the results. The final images portrayed his quiet confidence, his deep engagement with reading and a side of him that felt both authentic and personal.
