Men's Reading Photoshoot with Michael

For the second set, we leaned into one of Michael's favourite pastimes—reading. With the calm breeze and laid-back atmosphere of the hotel pool, it felt like the perfect setting to document this quieter side of his lifestyle. There's something effortlessly introspective about reading near water, and that was exactly the energy I aimed to capture.

Of course, working outdoors meant adapting to a few challenges. The biggest was steering clear of photobombs—other guests were enjoying the space too, and we wanted clean, distraction-free frames. We also had to chase the light a bit. The shifting sun made it tricky to maintain consistent, flattering lighting, so each shot required a bit of on-the-fly recalibration

Michael's ease and attentiveness made the process feel seamless. He took direction with grace, stayed present in each moment, and let the setting shape him naturally. His quiet presence, paired with his love of reading, allowed the images to capture something calm, grounded, and enduring.
