Indoor Reading Photoshoot with Leonard
Listed in portrait category: Hobby | Lifestyle
Leonard and I met at the National Library building near Bugis, a place that naturally lends itself to quiet reflection and creativity. He arrived with a luggage full of belongings and extra clothes, prepared for different sets throughout the day. His readiness set the tone for a versatile shoot.
We decided to use the exhibition space on the first storey, where the clean lines and open layout provided a unique backdrop. Natural light streamed in beautifully, giving the photographs a soft, authentic glow without the need for artificial setups - we weren't able to set up anyway.
The biggest challenge was navigating the presence of other visitors. At times, we had to pause and wait for people to move along, or carefully adjust angles to avoid capturing them in the frame. Despite this, Leonard was quick to slip into the mood, and his ease in front of the camera made the session flow smoothly. The combination of natural light, the exhibition’s atmosphere, and his openness created a shoot that felt both spontaneous and thoughtfully composed.
