Female's Fitness Gym Photoshoot with Chris Koh

When Chris approached me for this fitness photoshoot, my first question for her was whether she wanted to have skin retouching or to keep everything natural; she chose the latter. I was proud of her confidence and was glad that she was able to accept any imperfections that she might have.

Since I was preparing to shift my house during that period, she waited for some time for me to settle down before we started finalising the photoshoot.

On the day of the photoshoot, we met up earlier with the makeup artist, Ivy Tan, to have lunch together. By then, I was staying in the west of Singapore and the time and effort of travelling were more than twice as challenging as before.

As Chris had specified that she wanted the style of an energetic lifestyle album that I had done previously, I was cautious when proposing an edgy fitness idea just for one picture. She gladly accepted it. She loved the stylish high-contrast lighting instead of the original one. After confirming her final choice, the flow of the photoshoot was fast, especially having to deal with only one light instead of two or three (the maximum number of strobes I had brought along for the initial high-key idea).

Chris was delighted whenever I showed her the preview of the photographs on the back of my camera. The contentment on her face was priceless and the joy was contagious.
