Studio Fitness Photoshoot with Thomas
For the last set, we moved into the studio, which I felt was the most targeted for Thomas to keep as a memory of his body. His physique was extremely good, and what impressed me most was that he achieved it through simple calisthenics.
That resonated with me personally. Growing up, my family was poor, and we never thought of buying equipment or going to the gym. Even later, when I met good friends who owned gym outlets, I hesitated to use the free gyms. One of the most established gym owners once told me, “There’s a reason for people to go to the gym,” implying that it wasn’t possible to build a superb physique without equipment or gym training. Yet Thomas proved otherwise, and that made this shoot even more inspiring.
I set up a simple two‑light system to shape the mood and highlight his physique. With his natural ease in front of the camera, I knew the photos would turn out superb. In fact, I have to give him credit — he was one of the very few clients who didn’t mind shooting in a real sustainable (no air-con) home studio, even while I was still being bullied by the Tengah CCS team and couldn’t remove the failed system to install my own trusty conventional air‑con.
Despite those challenges, we nailed the shoot. The studio portraits captured Thomas’s strength, discipline, and charisma — a fitting conclusion to the series, and a true physique shoot that celebrated his dedication. More importantly, I really hope he can inspire others to lead a healthier lifestyle, showing that discipline and consistency can achieve remarkable results without the need for fancy equipment.
