I regretted explaining too much to Akira before the photoshoot.

There's a saying by Belgicia Howell, "Never explain yourself. Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe it."

Akira is an intelligent man filled with kindness. He didn't need much of my explanation of the constraints of photography and the unforeseeable problems of the photoshoot. He trusted me and my work, and he knew I would be doing my best. While I tried to be clear to him, most things seemed redundant.

The weather forecast highlighted that it was going to be a rainy day. When it started drizzling around noon, I checked with him if he wanted to postpone the shoot. He chose to go ahead, which was a good call.

As Akira worked as a scientist, he seized the opportunity to conduct research over the place during the photoshoot. I was very impressed with how he managed to utilise his time. He was simply too composed and humble, which to me, was a good role model.

Akira's priority for the photoshoot was his French Horn. He gladly did some explanation to me and even demonstrated near the Esplanade outdoor theatre. Although I wasn't a big fan of musical instruments, it was great to listen to a special live performance. I managed to see the fun side of him and he was open to ideas.

My favourite is his jumping shot, which is full of energy and youth.

Like what you see?

I spent hours uploading every album, and I hope they will inspire you.

Most of the people featured in my portfolio are everyday people rather than professional models. They may have started out with the same concerns many clients have: feeling camera-shy, unsure how to pose, or worried that they aren't photogenic. If they can look good in photographs, so can you.

Whether you're looking for photographs for yourself, your family, your business, or a special occasion, I'd be happy to discuss your ideas. If privacy is important to you, I also offer a Privacy Buyout option for eligible sessions.
