Indoor Lifestyle Photoshoot with M.S
This was an interesting shoot I had with M.S from Maldives. It all came together at the last minute, just a few days before the actual shoot. M.S was in dire need of these photos and I was more than happy to assist.
One thing that stood out during our discussions was M.S's attachment to this particular outfit. It was clear that it held a special place in her heart. So, I took the opportunity to share my perspective on the outfit, preparing her mentally for the mood and vibe it would bring to the photos. It's all about collaboration and understanding the client's vision.
Now, let me get to the biggest challenge I faced during this shoot. Unfortunately, I couldn't start as early as I would have liked and as a result, the lighting wasn't as soft as I had hoped. But M.S was an absolute gem, understanding the situation and accommodating my requests to avoid direct sunlight. It's moments like these when clients and photographers work together that magic truly happens.
Another hurdle we encountered was the surrounding buildings. They were painted in bright white, making it quite a task to distinguish M.S from the background. But hey, every challenge is an opportunity for creative problem-solving, right?
This particular shoot had a fast pace to it. M.S preferred to walk around rather than the usual style of stationary poses. It added a sense of dynamism and movement to the photographs, which I found refreshing.
To make things even more interesting, I had to rely on a prime lens for this shoot. My go-to zoom lens was out of commission, so I had to do a lot of manual focusing on my feet. It kept me on my toes, both literally and figuratively. However, we were in very tight spaces at times and there wasn't enough room for me to move back. Adaptability is key in the world of photography.
Despite the challenges, the shoot with M.S was an absolute delight. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious, making it a memorable experience for both of us. M.S's vibrant personality and stunning location combined to create mesmerising photographs that truly captured her essence. It's photoshoots like these that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
