Modern Corporate Lifestyle Photoshoot with Daniel Stephen
Daniel Stephen and I meticulously planned this corporate photoshoot session before embarking on the previous sessions. Daniel had a specific vision – he wanted an edgy and modern feel to the photographs. Despite the tight schedule, we managed to allocate time for this outdoor shoot, considering the uncontrollable timing of the subsequent session.
One challenge we encountered was the less-than-ideal timing for the outdoor shoot, leading to harsh sunlight. Typically favouring soft light over hard light, this was a departure from my usual style. However, the results aligned with Daniel's vision, capturing the punchy impact of hard light.
Crowds posed a recurring challenge, requiring us to wait for opportune moments when the background cleared. Additionally, working with natural light proved challenging, with changing conditions ranging from cloud-covered to open skies, resulting in diverse lighting throughout the shoot.
The most physically demanding aspect was the constant movement in the shoot. Despite the seemingly simple photos, numerous retakes were necessary. As Daniel was consistently on the move, maintaining focus required dynamic adjustments. To keep pace, I found myself running to maintain distance and then swiftly stabilising the camera by squatting or kneeling – a taxing physical endeavour akin to various workout sets.
Accommodating Daniel's specific visual preferences added another layer of complexity to the shoot. His attention to detail in the background required intricate framing to meet his vision.
The joy of this shoot lay in Daniel's clear vision and confidence in front of the camera. His direct approach allowed us to utilise time efficiently, resulting in a successful session. Beyond his vision, Daniel's understanding and cooperation throughout the process made this corporate photoshoot a positive and productive experience.
