Bikini Fashion Photoshoot with Isabelle
This was the third and final set of the beach photoshoot with Isabelle. By then, Isabelle's makeup was already badly affected, probably due to the extremely bad weather or accidental face contact while getting changed. Unfortunately, it was a common problem when the professional hair and makeup artist didn't tag along for the photoshoot.
As the time drifted much closer to noon with no sign of any courageous cloud coming to our aid, we battled beneath the most terrifying weather ever.
I got Isabelle to hide under the shades as much as possible while I sacrificed my unprepared body under the direct sun most of the time.
We got onto the two famous towers at the Isle opposite but Isabelle's fans started crowding around, short of asking her for her signatures. We then moved under some trees but the branches didn't do the perfect job of giving us enough shade.
Inside the sea was the worst situation. I had to find the best angle in terms of lighting while avoiding the various photobombs around. Due to the strong sun rays, the autofocus system on my camera was badly affected. My camera was hot, although not as hot as my body literally, and somehow, the image quality was badly affected.
I was, however, very impressed by Isabelle's modelling skills. After the earlier two sets of casual lifestyle photoshoots, she got very used to the camera and was able to portray herself naturally and confidently for this final set that we went more towards fashion and glamour style of shoot. If it wasn't for the terrible weather in the open space with crowds, we could have created many much more spectacular works, especially if I could rope in my lighting equipment.
The actual time we spent on the photoshoot was eventually dragged from two to nearly four hours. After a quick wash-up, Isabelle sent me over to the resort world car park. I could have gotten home much earlier by heading to the beach carpark directly but I decided to accompany her since she wasn't very familiar with the place. I wasn't a good car commander though but I believed in "being there" at least. We eventually toured around the underground before finding the correct carpark.
I suffered from an extreme sunburn, and much of my girlfriend's expensive skin product was used to reduce the pain and speed up the recovery process. My guilt would remind me to put on sunblock for my next beach or outdoor job.
