Muay Thai Shadow-Boxing Photoshoot with Raymund
I was really glad when Raymund agreed to this simple idea for a photoshoot to represent his love for Muay Thai. Since shadow-boxing is one of his training routines, I thought it would be a fitting way to showcase his passion. While it could have been a more elaborate themed shoot if we had more equipment, time simply wasn't on our side. The entire day of shooting had already gone past the booked time.
Still, I figured we could at least try something simple at the park before moving on to the final set of the day, which required some travelling. The biggest challenge I faced was, once again, the dim lighting. The shoot was originally planned as a natural light session, so I didn't have my professional lighting equipment with me. Even if I had brought them along, we wouldn't have had the time to set them up and take them down.
To work around the lighting issue, I guided Raymund to a shelter where there were some lamps. Unfortunately, the light wasn't strong enough and the camera struggled to focus on him. This meant I had to take multiple shots to ensure I captured what I needed. My hands were exhausted after the long day of shoot, especially after this set.
Despite the challenges, Raymund's serious expression while throwing punches made for some great moments. He was most charming in those focused, intense moments and I was glad I managed to capture those shots, even under difficult conditions.
