Lifestyle Photoshoot with Michael Tan
Listed in portrait category: Corporate | Lifestyle

Michael and I had talked about including a set of branding photos from the start—something he could use professionally, but that still reflected his natural energy and tone. We weren't aiming for stiff portraits, but rather an honest, grounded kind of polish.
The choice was a smart-casual outfit that walked the line beautifully—crisp enough to convey professionalism, but relaxed enough to feel human. It suggested someone you'd trust to get the job done and still enjoy grabbing coffee with.
At the Gallop Extension, we found a versatile backdrop—greenery, open structures, and pockets of calm all in one place. Michael moved through the space with ease, so the shoot flowed organically. That sense of comfort and poise made its way into every frame.
While the focus was on creating branding images, we made space between sets to snap a few playful frames—photos that weren't meant to be professional, just personal. They captured the quieter quirks and easy charm that balance out his polished side.
It was a great reminder that a corporate shoot doesn't have to be all business. When done right, it can reflect the human behind the professional—and in Michael's case, someone with depth, warmth, and a good sense of humour.
