Night Beach Bikini Photoshoot with Katherine Whiteway (Nekotsurin)
This was the second and final set of the bikini shoot. We aimed for a more glamorous look.
Sourcing for a good spot at a heavily barricaded beach was a big challenge. Besides, there were still beach lovers around after the sunset and I didn't want any distractions in the background.
We ended up at a very dim place, so dark that even the middle autofocus point of my camera had difficulty grabbing the focus. Setting up my lighting equipment in the darkness was annoying. I tried to keep the setup as simple as possible, mainly because we were running out of time.
With the warm-up done during the earlier set, Katherine and I built up our rapport. I was glad that she was able to push herself out of her comfort zone. She was also hardworking in that she researched poses before the shoot, which helped to speed it up and also gave her confidence.
The most interesting happening that night was that we were interrupted by some security personnel who couldn't tell that we were doing a photoshoot. Before these gentlemen left, they kindly alerted us not to swim inside the sea at night.
Katherine had a heart of gold and she allowed me to upload her "before and after Photoshopped" photographs on my website to demonstrate professional post-production work.
